This film is a blend of documentary and fiction. My intention is that there be no distinction between the two. The characters are documentary subjects and nonprofessional actors. I’d like to reveal what photographer Robert Frank calls “the poetry behind the surface of things”, perceiving from the heart what is not visible to the naked eye.
