Director’s Updates

First Shoot!

Keith Spooner

On October 24th we completed our first filming in England. Our main subject was Keith Spooner, a 91 year old poet who had exciting unexpected stories to share about the hidden life of Dr. Procter, his old friend. It was wonderful to film again and I felt lucky to be working with cinematographer Steve Cosens and sound recordist Derek Bruce.

Invitation to Mexico

My film “Second Sight” screened at the Film Archives/Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City on October 31st and November 2nd. I was present for the Q and As for my screenings and the audiences were great. This visit to Mexico also allowed me to meet with Mexican director Carlos Reygadas, who is a consultant director for “Dr. Procter”. It was very inspiring to meet with Carlos.

Stay Tuned!

This site will evolve into an inventive, compelling ongoing archive and cinematic diary of the journey of making “Dr. Procter”. There will be video, audio, photographs, links and updated information and stories. The site will build support for the film and will also aim to reduce the stigma of addiction among doctors and help addicted doctors come forward.
